❓Why Verify Guilds for Stat Tracking?

Welcome to Spikey's stat tracking system! To foster a fair, competitive, and enjoyable environment for everyone, game statistics (such as wins, losses, and matches played) that contribute to your global Spikey profile and official leaderboards are only recorded in Verified Guilds.

Don't worry, you can still play all of Spikey's games for fun in any Discord server! Verification only impacts where your official stats are counted.

Additionally, Spikey 🪙Coin rewards for winning matches are only granted in Verified Guilds. This policy helps prevent abuse through coordinated or fake matches designed to farm coins unfairly.

The Rationale: Protecting Integrity

Where there are rankings, leaderboards, and potential rewards (like those planned for future Ranked Seasons), there's always the incentive for some to try and gain an unfair advantage. This verification system is our primary way to mitigate and prevent:

• Stat Padding/Boosting: Users colluding, using alternate accounts (alts), or creating multiple "farm" servers to unfairly inflate their statistics or those of their friends.
• Automated Botting: The use of scripts or unauthorized bots running in unmonitored or private servers to automatically play games and artificially boost stats without genuine human interaction.
• Exploit Abuse: Players discovering and rapidly abusing game bugs or unintended mechanics in isolated, unverified environments to gain significant, unfair advantages before such issues can be addressed.
• Coin Farming: Organizing predetermined or low-effort matches in unverified environments purely to farm Spikey Coin rewards, undermining the intended economy and progression system.

Our goal is to protect the integrity of Spikey's competitive features, ensuring that leaderboards reflect genuine skill and dedication, and that any associated rewards are earned fairly. This creates a level playing field for all our dedicated players.

✅How Can My Guild Get Verified?

We welcome applications from established and well-moderated communities that wish to become officially Verified Guilds for Spikey stat tracking. Verification signifies that a guild meets certain standards aimed at promoting fair play and a positive gaming atmosphere.

General Verification Criteria:

While specific requirements may evolve, guilds applying for verification will generally be expected to meet criteria such as:

• Compliance with Terms: The guild must strictly adhere to both Discord's Terms of Service & Community Guidelines and Spikey Bot's Terms of Service.
• Clear Server Rules: The guild must have clearly defined, publicly accessible server rules that are actively enforced by a moderation team.
• Active & Engaged Community: While there isn't a strict "minimum member count" for initial consideration, guilds should demonstrate a reasonably active and engaged user base. We are looking for genuine communities.
  • No NSFW Content: Servers with primary NSFW (Not Safe For Work) themes or unrestricted NSFW channels will generally not be eligible. Occasional, clearly marked, opt-in NSFW channels in an otherwise SFW server might be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Age Restrictions: The server must enforce Discord's minimum age requirement (13+). No communities primarily targeted at users under 13 will be verified.
  • Prohibited Content: Zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech (racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.), promotion of illegal activities, or content that violates Discord's guidelines. Discussions around sensitive topics like politics or religion should be maturely moderated to prevent toxicity if allowed at all.
• Good Standing: The guild should not have a significant history of TOS violations with Discord or major issues with other popular bots/services.
• Commitment to Fair Play: Guild leadership must demonstrate a commitment to preventing stat boosting, botting, and exploit abuse within their community in relation to Spikey games.

Application Process:

Guild owners or authorized administrators who believe their community meets these standards can apply for verification. The application process typically involves submitting a form with details about your server and agreeing to uphold fair play principles.

Our team will review applications based on the criteria above and other factors to ensure the guild aligns with Spikey's goals for a positive stat-tracking environment. Verification is not guaranteed and can be revoked if a guild fails to maintain these standards.
